Why do I do what I do? What makes me different from everyone else?
The reason I do what I do is because I have always loved to help others. I want to be able to give help where and when I can. Customer service is something I have always enjoyed, whether it be in a call center taking care of customers issues or as a nurses aid working at a hospital or nursing home. I am not satisfied unless I have given you my very best. With my own health issues I understand how that can affect an employer and employee, whether it be good or bad, I can give you ideas to help you with keeping that part of the workforce under control.
What’s the turn-around time for written work?
It all depends on my workload at the time of contact. I like to do a format to keep things in the blog simple, and make sure it goes live properly when it is time to do so. I will work hard to make sure that you get what you ask for down to the letter. Please allow a week to ten days to properly complete a post or create the content. This allows me to assist current clients that I'm already working with and then get started on a draft for you.
How do I pay you?
Payment is quite easy: I accept payment by PayPal or check. If there is another method you want to use, we can discuss it at that time. If you are outside of the US, please let me know before we talk about payment. We will figure something out so we can work together.
What is the payment schedule for services rendered?
I will ask for 50% of the project invoice up-front before I begin the work. No work will be completed without the percentage of the invoice payment. Once I receive it, I will begin the project. I will ask for the remaining balance once the deliverables are turned in. If you decide to pay up front, that is welcome as well.
Can you write multiple posts for our blog? If so, can you do it on a certain schedule?
Of course. By all means! Send me as much work as you need me to do. Please let me know when you want the work done and sent to you ahead of time. I would hate for it to be sent later than you had hoped for. We can go over the semantics before we sign the contract to avoid any miscommunication. But we can definitely set up a specific schedule for you if you would like. Just let me know.
Will you write articles for me that I want you to place on sites you contribute to?
This is called 'placing articles' and it is something that I will not do. It is illegal because it is against FTC guidelines. I do not contribute to the websites that you might be thinking of as it is. Placing and article for you would mean that I would lose my reputation with people in my community and I would lose my contributor status with that blog. That being said, I am more than happy to ghostwrite an article if you have the contributor rights.
Do you do test runs when it comes to blogging or social media management?
I don't mind doing a test run with you for a period of time, if that is something you want to do. However that test run will need to be paid according to my current rates. I do not not give out free samples of my work. If you would like to see free sample of my work then you can go to other blogs or, you can go to my portfolio. I have several that you can see that would show my writing style.
Are your prices negotiable? What if I can’t afford you at your current pricing?
My prices are not negotiable. I have set my rates base on the current market and my own experience in the industry. If you are unable to afford me at the time of contact, we can discuss arrangements for payment. Payment plans may be applicable for those that need them and want the ability to use them.
What happens after we talk on the phone?
I will put together a quote and e-mail you the invoice with the amount of the quote. I customize each quote on your needs as they may vary from someone else. At this time I will let you know how long I will need to complete the project and when you will receive the finished product. I will make sure that your needs are taken care of at the time we speak and answer any questions you may have.
What’s your process for writing blog posts?
Once it is time for me to write the blog post for your company, I will work up a rough draft first, based on an outline that I have put together. This outline is base upon what we discussed over the phone or through e-mail. I will step away from it for a day or so so that when I come back, I will be fresh and ready to get to work on it. Once it has been edited, I will send it to you to make sure that we are on the same page and for your thoughts. If anything needs to be edited or changed, it will be done at that time so that it will be ready to post. Don't be afraid to ask any questions that you have. There are no stupid questions. If your questions are not covered above, please don't hesitate. I would rather work it out up front and be sure than have a misunderstanding at the end of the project and find out that it was not what you were expecting. I will get back to you within 2 business days depending on my workload. Fill out the form below to start a conversation with me.
